Yuvacide BXB
Yuvacide BXB is a highly effective microbicide recommended as a preservative for Latex paints, Aqueous industrial coatings, Polymer lattices and Dispersed pigments, adhesives, surfactants, metal working fluids, polymer emulsions and thickening agents. It is very effective in controlling bacteria and fungi in manufacture and storage of dispersed pigments such as kaolin clays, titanium dioxide, calcium carbonate and others.
Yuvacide BXB is an excellent preservative in water based Paints and Coatings. Some of its unique properties such as broad spectrum activity, excellent chemical as well as physical compatibility, low toxicity and low level of concentrations in applications make it economically effective and environmental friendly.
Yuvacide BXB was found to be most effective as an preservative in paints based on acrylic, polyvinyl acetate, styrene – butadiene and co-polymer vehicles. Even at low concentrations it shows its effectiveness against bacteria and fungi satisfactorily.
Yuvacide BXB has an LD 50 (rat ;oral) of 3875 mg/kg. It is a skin irritant and may cause allergic skin reaction and sensitization and hence ref. to the Product safety data sheet should be made before handling or use of Yuvacide BXB

Application
YUVACIDE BXB is available in liquid state which can be readily used during Paint and Coating formulations. The data obtained from the detail study and the trials conducted prove that on addition of YUVACIDE BXB to paint during formulation has no adverse effect on its performance.
